Vendor's Needed
Always held on the first full weekend of August, we celebrate On Friday afternoon, August 3rd, 2007, during the car show, some of the gift certificates that were donated, were randomly given away to the car show entrants by drawing a ticket that they were given upon registering their car that day. They really had fun with this and can’t wait until this year, August 1, 2008. On Saturday afternoon, August 4th, 2007, we had everyone who joined us after the parade write their names on a piece of paper that was put into a box and we gave away more of the gift certificates throughout the day. Some gift certificates that were donated were more family orientated and were given to the family that sang a karaoke song to the community. Another was given to the father who would sing “You Are my Sunshine” to a female in his family. It was a fun and entertaining way of winning. With some of the money donated, we purchased items like a girl’s bike, a boy’s bike, a teeter totter, a boom box, as well as other fun items, including a $100 gift card that was won by running a foot race for those over 18 years of age.
